Our Vision

Our vision is to grow our self-managed, Ohio-based properties to offer multiple types of stays, including short-term and mid-term rental, throughout the state.

Founded in 2022 and based in Ohio, Cross-Key Vacation Rentals is owned and operated by Kelly and Chad Croskey. We are very involved with our properties and take pride in offering an elevated, comfortable space that’s both inviting and relaxing.

Currently, we have 2 properties, Suite on Jackson in Millersburg, OH (Ohio’s Amish Country) and The Columbus Cottage in Columbus, OH. 

Suite on Jackson is our vacation rental in the heart of Amish Country. The area has so much to offer, including, hiking and biking on the Holmes County Trail, horseback riding, take a buggy ride, visit petting zoos, shop ‘til you drop, have a glass of wine at the many surrounding wineries / vineyards, and Millersburg even has a microbrewery. Immerse yourself in the Amish culture by driving down a county road or taking a tour of a working Amish farm. 

The Columbus Cottage is our home in Columbus, OH. If you’d like to visit Columbus, our home offers a great location, convenient to highways, restaurants, shopping, The Ohio State University, several hospitals, including Ohio State, The James Cancer Hospital, Mount Carmel St. Ann’s, Riverside, and more. 

If you are coming into town for work, The Columbus Cottage is the perfect place to stay. Please inquire about discounts for 30+ day stays. 

Columbus is an endless mecca of amazing food, shopping, and night life. It’s a beautiful city and well worth the visit.

OUR STORY

Meet Kelly and Chad Croskey

Kelly is originally from Massillon, OH and has been a 25- year resident of Columbus, OH. 

Chad is from Holmes County, Ohio born and raised in Millersburg.

We originally met in high school, circa 1990 (when hair was big and Guess® jeans were in!) We were friends and can confidently say we had a “crush” on each other. Unfortunately, time flies and before you know it, high school is over and we lost touch. 

Move ahead 23 years and our friendship was rekindled. We dated for 6 months and knew we were the perfect match. Less than one year after rekindling our friendship, we became best friends forever and were married on June 4, 2016. 

We had a conundrum to solve. Where do we live? We found we really enjoyed the juxtaposition of living a city life and a country life. So, we decided to keep both houses. For quite some time we went back-and-forth, often. But, as time progressed, so did our burgeoning business with the complete remodel of, what is now, Suite on Jackson. It was a massive undertaking (PS, we both have full-time jobs) and took us 1 ½ years to complete. It is a wonderful achievement and we are ecstatic to share it with you. 

In 2024, we brought our Columbus property into the mix as a mid-term rental or 30+ day stays. 

I am excited for what the future might bring and we will definitely keep you updated!

Yes! A reserved parking space is available behind the building.

No, we do not allow pets to ensure the comfort of all our guests.

Yes! Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is included in your stay.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker, and all essential cookware.

Yes, Suite on Jackson is a second-floor walk-up and requires climbing approximately 20 stairs.

Yes! We provide plush bathrobes, fresh towels, high-quality linens, and complimentary toiletries.

Early check-in and late check-out may be available upon request for an additional fee. Please contact us in advance to check availability.
